    Blackberries

    Blackberries are native to Florida, but improved varieties are grown for their larger, sweeter fruit. Blackberries are usually divided into two categories, trailing and erect. Trailing blackberries require trellising. There are also some thornless varieties that do well in the northern part of the state.
