Building Your Own Farm’s Food Safety Manual Workshop

SFA SVAEC Logo 240x185This program is a one-day workshop to help growers develop their own food safety manuals. It is targeted to fruit and/or vegetable farming operations, field or greenhouse. The workshop is done on a computer (one laptop is provided for in-house use per farm if necessary) using a web-based food safety manual development program. The workshop is limited to 20 farms on a first come, first serve basis. Each farm may bring an additional person for those farmers needing computer assistance.

The workshop is developed and presented by the University of Florida, Small Farms Academy, and is partially supported by a grant through the Florida Specialty Crops Block Grant program from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service.
